'Big Player' James Wynn, Direct Critique on Hyperliquid… "Work Hard Before Falling Behind in Competition"

Virtual asset whale (large investor) James Wynn directly criticized the decentralized exchange (DEX) Hyperliquid (HYPE).

On the 8th, James Wynn stated on X that "If CZ (Changpeng Zhao), the founder of Binance, launches a decentralized derivatives exchange, Hyperliquid is likely to be finished," adding, "Changpeng Zhao has everything—capital, network, talent pool." He also said, "If you look at how Changpeng Zhao built Binance, you know he is someone capable of creating something outstanding like no other," and urged, "Hyperliquid should work harder before being pushed out by better competitors."

The issue pointed out by James Wynn was Hyperliquid's referral reward structure. James Wynn said, "I earned $34,000 through referrals on Hyperliquid" and commented, "Considering the number of users and trading volume I brought in, it's a paltry reward."
