On the 19th (local time), Bloomberg, citing informed sources, reported, "Quintenz's confirmation is delayed, and the White House is reviewing a new CFTC chair." It is known that those under consideration include pro-virtual-asset (cryptocurrency) figures.
Meanwhile, under the rules the CFTC should have five commissioners. However, currently only one commissioner, Caroline Pham, is serving as acting chair.
