It was revealed that trading activity within the Bitcoin (BTC) network has significantly decreased.
On the 8th (local time), The Block, a cryptocurrency-specialized media outlet, reported that despite Bitcoin maintaining its price near an all-time high, the number of transactions on the Bitcoin network last Friday was 317,000, marking the lowest level since October 2023 (269,000). On the 1st, only 256,000 block creations were recorded.
Meanwhile, as trading activity on the Bitcoin network declined sharply, it was found that some miners are focusing on low-fee transactions. The founder of Mononaut Mempool stated on his X (formerly Twitter) that "Marathon Digital Holdings successfully mined a transaction with a fee rate of 0.1sat/vB" and added, "The fee was only $0.011".
